Day 1

Samburu National Park

A tour of Nairobi National park is a great way to start your safari and an absolutely wonderful experience if you do not have enough time to go to the far-flung safari parks yet would like to enjoy the safari experience. The half day tour takes you to explore the 28,000 acres of diverse flora and fauna. The park has a diverse wildlife population including the black rhinos, Masai giraffe, lion, leopard, wildebeest, gazelles, just to name a few. Nairobi National park also has a high diversity of bird life with over 500 endemic and migratory species recorded. Best time to go is usually early in the morning and late afternoon when the wildlife is most active.

Depending on your schedule, we can include at no extra charge a visit to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, an elephant rescue and rehabilitation center as well as African Fund for Endangered Wildlife’s giraffe center which dedicated to the conservation of the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe.
